I thought this would be a nice clock–it had the features I was looking for: digital radio tuner, dual alarm, aux in, small footprint. Two major problems really make it unusable for me:
(1) It is amazingly bright, even on the dim setting. The entire display is back lit. I put in a piece of tinted plastic to help further dim the display, and it was STILL too bright.
(2) It is LOUD! No matter what volume setting you put the radio on, the “gradual wake” feature goes to max volume in about 5-10 seconds. I was scrambling to turn it off in the morning before it woke up the whole house. I was literally on edge in the morning because of it.
If you don’t mind being startled out of bed in the morning and need a good nightlight, this might be the clock for you, otherwise, steer clear.

When you set this alarm clock to turn on the radio for a wake-up, in just a couple of seconds the radio will turn itself up to MAX volume. There is no way to control this volume. This is too much of a jolt in the early morning and this feature is not on the box. The buttons on the clock are also hard to push and feel cheap. DO NOT BUY THIS CLOCK!
